The Mark 4HD series features four magnification ranges, giving you an accurate and reliable option for close-quarter engagements, long-range dominance, and everything in between. They're available with a three-turn elevation dial for unmatched confidence at extreme distances, a precise ZeroLock windage adjustment that won't budge when knocked around, and a side focus that'll give you tack-sharp images down to 25 yards.

4:1 ZOOM RATIO
A 4:1 zoom ratio strikes the perfect balance between weight and versatility, giving you plenty of magnification options without weighing you down. Model magnification ranges are available in powers of 4x: 1-4.5, 2.5-10, 4.5-18, and 8-32.

The available 1/10th MIL (M5C3) or 1/4 MOA (M1C3) click windage and elevation adjustments provide precise and repeatable dialling for any shooter.
M5C3 OR M1C3 ZEROLOCK® ADJUSTMENT DIALS
M5C3 ZeroLock® Adjustment dials are available on select models and provide up to 30-MILs of adjustment in 3 revolutions and 0.1 MIL clicks. Visual and tactile revolution indicators ensure you don’t get lost in the travel. The ZeroLock® feature prevents inadvertent adjustments and ensures accurate return to zero. M1C3 ZeroLock® Adjustment dials are available on select models and provide up to 71.5MOA of adjustment in 3 revolutions and 1/4 MOA clicks. Visual and tactile revolution indicators ensure you don’t get lost in the travel. The ZeroLock® feature prevents inadvertent adjustments and ensures accurate return to zero.
MOTION SENSOR TECHNOLOGY (MST™)
Motion Sensor Technology (MST™) extends battery life by automatically deactivating illuminated reticules after five minutes of inactivity and then reactivates instantly as soon as movement is detected. (available on illuminated models)
REMOVABLE THROW LEVER
The removable, low-profile throw lever makes changing magnifications quick and easy. It includes a thread protector plug to use when the lever is removed.
FIRST OR SECOND FOCAL PLANE RETICLES
First focal plane (FFP) reticules change size as you adjust the magnification, ensuring the reticule sub tensions (distance between marks) remain accurate at any power. Second focal plane (SFP) reticules stay the same size throughout the magnification range, making them easier to see at lower power but sub tensions are only accurate at one specified magnification. FFP is ideal for long-range precision shooting where range estimation and holdovers are critical, while SFP is favoured for hunting and shooting at known distances.
WATERPROOF, FOGPROOF, & SHOCKPROOF
Leupold pioneered modern waterproof and fogproof technology using advanced internal gasses and sealing methods that withstand extreme temperatures, elevation changes, and shocks, so the internals of the optics stay moisture free and crystal clear for life.
30MM OR 34MM MAINTUBES
Instead of using a 35mm maintube, like the Mark 5HD, the Mark 4HD opts for a more streamlined design, but offers the same level of performance. This design choice allows for compatibility with a broader range of mounts.
